The presbyopia

  • Presbyopia is a natural change in vision which affects many starting at the age of 40
  • For presbyopes, the difficulty is to see up close
  • Like a camera lens out of focus

Presbyopia is a natural change in vision which affects everyone. By the age of 40, the crystalline lens has lost some of its suppleness and does not bulge out sufficiently. The eye gradually loses its ability to focus (accommodation). Like a poorly focused camera. The eye no longer focuses the image correctly. Presbyopes have difficulty seeing things up close.
