Vision Institute and optical laboratories involved in research

To achieve its objectives, Essilor employs 500 researchers in three optical laboratories located in France, the United States and Singapore. Since 2008, the Vision Institute has been working on health issues. Its specialists focus on vision and its aging process. They study eye movement, how the image forms on the retina, neuronal processing of information, etc. All this data contributes to the design of more advanced progressive lenses.
